Ramblers Bradford Group is your official local group of the Ramblers, Britain's largest walking charity.
The group puts on a programme of Evening Walks throughout the year, with occasional daytime events. All walks are volunteer led by Ramblers members, are free of charge and welcome all who wish to come along and join in; whether members or not. Evening walks are on alternate Wednesday and Thursday evenings all year round, starting at 7pm. They are usually between 4 and 5 miles in length, and approximately 2 hours in duration.
At the end of each walk everyone who wishes is welcomed to a social gathering at the nearest watering hole! From time to time leaders organise food too. Sometimes this is provided free by the pub. At other times tickets are sold in advance. Each walk programme always ends with Cheers! A shorter walk and a longer drink! Tickets for food go on sale in the prior 5-6 weeks. ** NOTE For the time being this does not apply because of Covid. It is up to individuals to decide what they want to do.
New leaders are always welcome and receive whatever support we can give. Helpers likewise. We can only function thanks to all the support given freely by our supporters.
If you enjoy our walks, please consider joining the Ramblers and helping them to continue to work for walkers.
New leaders always welcome. Contact us to lead a walk. (Leaders must be Ramblers members for insurance purposes)
